Hide Left-Side Menus

Hi
We would like to hide the left side menus if an employee is coming in thru the self-service portal. We can identify they are doing this as it's a different URL but we are unsure how to hide the menus. Can anyone help with this?

We have done something like that by using pagelets, navigation collections and home tabs. All of that though is in the same same employee portal. You can also specify when to show/hide the left menu navigation per component basis. Just navigate to PeopeTools > Portal > Structure and Content and then to your content reference.
