I am using %edittable to use a dynamic prompt based on %language. Is there any way we can control the results from the prompt table based on another field value?

In detail:
I have a work_record.product_group on a page and prompt record with product_id(key), product_group, and descr fields. Can I have the prompt show only product_ids with the matching product_group?
(I can't use "sqltext" dynamic views because I run into the issue of shared sql objects . Setid is also not an option).

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I have seen that done on delivered PeopleSoft pages more than once as both a drop down selection and prompt tables. However, I do think you need to have some sort of relationship between the two records.

I can't recall where I've seen the delivered pages, but will re-visit this post with an update if I stumble on one of those pages.

Re: Dynamic Prompt

Note: It is work record not a table for making it a related display.

Re: Dynamic Prompt

Make that key (here it should be product group) as a key in your prompt record.

Set your fixed value (by assignment) before you intend to call the prompt.

thanks

Re: Dynamic Prompt

Field.SQLText property will definetly help in this scenario.
